Who Am

Hi. I'm Melonie Loeb, a senior here at the University

at Austin.
I'm studying Public Relations and hope to graduate in May, that all depends
on whether or not I pass this E309 class. I enjoy popular culture and
learning about our "Generation X" trends. My most recent fascination has
been with Extreme Sports. I have always been a big sports fan, and love to
watch weird and wacky sports on television. On ESPN2.iso/Web/Generation X/97xg1.5.gif)
, I will watch hours upon hours of
tournaments where young adults are risking life and limb for the sake of
their talent. Competition is fierce among young adults looking to be "Numero
Uno" in these riskier versions of "traditional" sports. I chose just a few
sports that were of particular interest to me. They are the sports that my
friends and I spend hours watching, but would probably wimp out if ever
offered a chance to participate. For the time being I think I'll stay a
spectator. Maybe before I'm too old I'll give one of them a chance.
